How Time Can Heal

People say “time heals”.

And it can… Time can heal, but only if you help.

Me in the PNW

You need to actively make the effort yourself if you wish to fully recover.

Unlike your body, your mind and soul cannot heal themselves without your own doing.

When you get a cut, it will scab and heal — no conscious effort required.

Take Action

You will not automatically heal.

You must make a tangible effort to heal your heart and mind.

There are many ways that I know of to help.

Here are some that I have helped me through this last year:

  • therapy
  • talking to my family
  • meditation
  • physical activity like basketball
  • visiting friends

These things help in different ways and remind me that life is full of good people that care about me (just like I care about them).

In some ways, they are connected.

For example, I have noticed that after I play basketball outside I feel joy and contentment.

I think this is because the health of my body seems to have a relationship with my mind and heart.

Whatever you are going through, just know that you are not alone.

Many of your closest friends are going through a healing process right now.

Many of them have been hurt in the past, and inevitably ALL will at some point in life.

The parents

Care about your relationships. They will save you just like you save them 💞
